# Cross-species evidence

This run pools the curated evidence across species (human, mouse, rat): a marker row or
a publication sentence may come from an orthologous gene curated in another species,
mapped into this dataset's own gene symbols. That pooling is deliberate -- this analysis
annotates on cross-species evidence. Read pooled evidence exactly as within-species
evidence: weigh the measured numbers and what each sentence ties the gene to. Do not
discount, exclude or down-rank an identity because its markers or sentences come from a
different species, and never argue from species origin or species mismatch in a reason
or verdict.
